Not all who wander are lost - an update from the frontlines of the Future of Work
Nine months of driving innovation and shaping strategy — connecting People, Culture, and Place to redefine tomorrow’s workplaces.
Over the past few months, many people have reached out to catch up — asking what I’ve been up to, whether I still offer consulting, and what’s happening with my role at Workplaced.
So, here’s an update.
Nine months ago, I was approached by Workplaced, a startup fresh from launch with a bold mission: to help leaders design better workplaces by translating over 30 years of workplace research into a SaaS platform. Originally developed for workplace analytics, strategy, and space planning to enhance productivity and well-being, the product had the potential to deliver something traditional HR tools lack for our new world of work.
Naturally, I was intrigued. I’ve always had a passion for HR innovation and tech, so I jumped in — curious to see where the journey would lead.
What I found was a front-row seat to a major shift in the world of work: Employee Experience is evolving into Workplace Experience.
Hybrid models aren’t just operational necessities — they’re strategic. It’s not about counting days in the office; it’s about flexibility, culture, engagement, and collaboration. Getting this right is no longer optional — it’s essential for attracting and retaining talent, and for driving performance.
It also means rethinking our physical spaces. Offices must now support a diverse, distributed workforce with evolving needs.
That’s where Workplaced comes in. It’s the only platform I know that brings a holistic and strategic approach to bridge People Experience with Workplace Strategy and Space optimalisation.
Over the past months, I’ve worked to ensure it does exactly that — not only shaping the product by bringing in my vision and experience in the future of work, but also co-creating the go-to-market strategy for HR and People Leaders. My focus has been on integrating Workplace Experience with the broader HR agenda: DEI, Strategic Workforce Planning, Employer Branding, and beyond.
As Workplaced has grown, so have I. Collaborating with this visionary team has allowed me to develop new consulting offerings for clients looking to optimise their workplace and hybrid strategies.
Hello Monday Club now offers:
🧭 The Leadership Compass: From Hybrid Chaos to Clarity
A 3-hour strategic workshop for leadership teams to (re)design high-performance hybrid models — grounded in science, not nostalgia. Available as a stand-alone or as part of a broader Workplaced implementation.
📊 Workplace Experience Assessment – From Sentiment to Strategy
Using Workplaced Dynamics as a people analytics tool, I help companies uncover what employees really need to thrive in hybrid work. Spot trends, analyse gaps, and translate insights into action — it’s about putting HR back in the driver’s seat. This closes the gap between engagement surveys and sensor data — where the invaluable data lies that People and Workplace Leaders need.
🌀 Event Series: Connecting People, Culture, and Place
Together with Rachel Wolff of Movebite, we’re creating a space for HR and Workplace leaders to learn how brands are redefining the modern workplace and how they navigate increasingly complex stakeholder landscapes with confidence. Join us to explore how they create cohesive workplaces that connect the dots: places where employees thrive.
🎤 Speaking + Events
I’m asked to take the stage to share my vision on how the Future of Work is about data-driven employee experience — how technology and HR can shape human-centric, hyper-personalised design. These conversations are only getting louder.
🤝 Partnership & Alliances
Apart from my Hello Monday Club offering, I am still working for Workplaced as Director of Partnerships & Alliances. I am actively growing the Workplaced Partnership network — bringing in HR, Culture, Hybrid Work, and Workplace consultants and forging synergies with other parties who see the potential of joining forces. I’ve learned a lot about partnerships — and realised that I thrive in this space.
Looking back at these months of growth and building, it feels like a full-circle moment: Hello Monday Club 2025 is born. This experience has taken me back to my original ideas — now brought to life in a new, elevated form. It’s been exciting to collaborate with Workplaced’s visionary founding team and advisors, especially the Leadership team Adel el Mawla (CEO), Asael Akkerman (CSO), Wouter Jansen (CMO) and the rest of the team. Intercultural, fully distributed, and purpose-driven — exactly the kind of team I dreamed of.
Spring has arrived here in Europe. And after a season of building, I’m ready to bring these products to life with new clients. If any of this resonates — if you're looking to co-create, collaborate, or explore — I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s shape the future of work, together.
